For those of you that may have been living under a rock for the past few months, this weekend and next weekend mark one of music (and fashion’s) greatest showcases: Coachella. Deep in the desert in Palm Springs, California, hundreds of thousands of people are flocking to see some of their all-time favorite artists in the epic music festival that is so massive, one weekend just wouldn’t cut it. If you have a mere eight hundred dollars lying around, I suggest you start scalping your tickets for next weekend to be a part of the madness. If not, I will do my best to make you feel like you are part of the action with this post.
As if Bon Iver, Radiohead, and Dr. Dre were not a big enough draw to the event, Coachella’s fashion is another prime reason people are so stoked to attend. Anything goes when it comes to dressing yourself for the big weekend and there is really no telling what sorts of crazy styles you’ll find. Music Festival Season is primetime for finding inspiration for your wardrobe, so here are some of my favorite Coachella look ideas!
The festival brings out some of the most trendy people in Southern California, and it seems they are all gravitating towards the Americana Boho-Chic look. To achieve the perfect Coachella outfit, first, try finding the ultimate pair of jean shorts. Distressed, studded, acid-wash– you can’t go wrong with a comfortable pair of denim bottoms and they are the perfect pallet for creating any festival fashion:

Hmm, what to do about the rest of your outfit? Layering is definitely a hot (and practical) Coachella look. Remember: You’re not going to want to miss Eminem because you need to run to your tent to grab a sweatshirt! Instead, try piecing together the ultimate look by adding on different key pieces so that you can shed/add layers depending on the time of day and weather! I recommend starting out with a cute swimsuit top! If the concert ticket hasn’t already depleted your budget and you’ve got a hunk o’ change lying around, I recommend splurging on a Mara Hoffman! She has the cutest suits and they are perfect to add to your ultimate Coachella look.
Dying.
Now, try adding on a tank top! Fringe is the latest craze these days, and Coachella is no exception. The bohemian lifestyle is in full bloom out in the desert, so I suggest finding a great fringy crop-top tank! Brandy Melville has great ones (and you won’t have to break the bank)!

As for accessories, you know my motto is always more is more! Go crazy! Coachella is about as close to a Woodstock as our generation will get, so make this experience memorable by making your look memorable. Stack on bracelets, wear great sandals, even go nuts with your sunglasses! ENJOY your time there and make it count.
